California Coastal Coffee Return, Refund, and Shipping Policy

At California Coastal Coffee, we are committed to providing high-quality specialty coffee and exceptional customer service. Because our coffee is roasted specifically for each customer after an order is placed, special return and refund conditions apply.

Coffee Orders

All coffee products are roasted to order and are considered custom-made food products.

Because of the perishable nature of freshly roasted coffee, coffee purchases are generally non-returnable and non-refundable once shipped, except in cases involving:

  • Product defects

  • Shipping damage

  • Incorrect items received

  • Carrier loss

  • Other circumstances approved by California Coastal Coffee at its sole discretion

Requests for returns or refunds based solely on shipping transit times that fall within normal carrier delivery estimates may be denied.

Shipping Information

Orders are typically roasted, packed, and shipped within 1 business day, though fulfillment times may vary depending on order volume and operational requirements.

Standard shipping transit times within the United States generally range from 3–7 business days depending on destination, carrier performance, weather conditions, holidays, and other factors outside our control.

Shipping estimates provided by carriers are estimates only and are not guaranteed delivery dates unless an expedited guaranteed shipping service is specifically purchased.

California Coastal Coffee is not responsible for delays caused by shipping carriers once an order has been accepted and scanned into the carrier's network.

Reporting Damaged, Defective, or Incorrect Orders

Customers experiencing issues with product quality, damage, defects, or fulfillment errors must contact us within 30 days of delivery.

To submit a claim, please provide:

  • Your order number

  • A description of the issue

  • Clear photographs showing the product and any damage or defects

Claims should be submitted to our customer support team through the contact information provided on our website.

Claim Evaluation

Upon receipt of your claim, our team will review the information provided and determine an appropriate resolution.

Possible resolutions may include:

  • Replacement product

  • Store credit

  • Partial refund

  • Full refund

California Coastal Coffee reserves the right to deny claims that do not meet the requirements of this policy.

Returns (If Authorized)

In rare situations where a return is approved, customers will receive return instructions from California Coastal Coffee.

Unless the return is due to our error, customers are responsible for return shipping costs.

Unauthorized returns may be refused.

Refund Processing

Approved refunds will be issued to the original payment method used during checkout.

Refunds are generally processed within 7–10 business days after approval, although banking institutions may require additional time to post the refund.

Third-Party Purchases

This policy applies only to purchases made directly through California Coastal Coffee's website or official sales channels.

Products purchased through third-party retailers, marketplaces, or resellers are subject to the return policies of those respective sellers.

California Coastal Coffee reserves the right to modify or update this policy at any time without prior notice. The version of the policy in effect at the time of purchase will govern any dispute regarding that purchase.
